As a member of the Semi-Custom Business Unit within AMD, your execution will help bring to life customers' special requirements for designs to be used in a broad range of products, from tablets to gaming consoles to servers and more. As a member of this team, you will work closely with the architecture, verification, and physical design teams to achieve first pass silicon success.
Microarchitecture definition and RTL coding for various functional blocks working as part of an IP development team
Ability to contribute to specification, design, verification and implementation of digital designs
Work with a team of architects and hardware engineers to define the high-level architecture.
Contribute to power reduction, timing convergence, synthesis, floorplan & design verification.
Required Education and Skills:
Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or Computer or Electrical Engineering
8+ years RTL coding experience
Excellent knowledge of Verilog
Experience with Perl and TCL is a plus
Demonstrates expertise in the following:
RTL coding experience in Verilog for a high speed logic design
Power saving techniques
Exposure to physical design and verification methods
Awareness of synthesis, place and route, and timing closure concepts
Strong problem solving and debugging skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Education and Skills:
Background in other aspects of ASIC implementation, especially with synthesis flow and static timing analysis is a plus
Experience in clocking, reset, power up sequences and power management is a plus
Experience with ARM and/or Tensilica architecture is a plus.
Experience with scripting such as Perl, Shell and TCL is a plus
