Mars Wrigley Confectionery is looking for a Social Media Assistant based in SoHo until 2020 when it relocates to Newark, NJ.


The Social Media Assistant will become the key point person for operational and strategic community and creative assistance of one of MWC North America’s brands on social media.  Within the MWC Media & Digital department, participate in the strategic vision and operational execution of the brand on social media.



Operational and strategic assistance for Community Management and Social Content Creation
Monitor & research consumer conversations, competition, industry trends and ideate breakthrough social activations, content inspiration and ideas
Assist and frequently execute the intentions and directions of social visual content for all platforms maintaining the visual direction of the Social Media Producer
Operational assistance for social content production demonstrating a strong background in art direction and social media
Community management support with fan dialogue and consumer care responses
Develop strong content ideas and strategies utilizing industry best practices and new ideas for social media



Bachelor’s Degree
Excellent communication skills in English is required and in Spanish is a plus
Preferred proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite
Strong background and experience in art direction and content creation
Existing social presence (social media content production skills and copywriting skills are a real bonus!)
Fiercely passionate about all things all things social, digital and pop culture
A creative production strategist, and team player, who thinks outside the box, can multitask and move with the speed of social
Truly passionate about the Mars Wrigley Confectionery brands, with a strong desire to translate that passion into effective, contemporary, iconic and on-brand social content
Become the brand’s fiercest evangelist and advocate
Analytical skills, ability to translate data into clear learnings and actionable next steps
In-depth knowledge, passion for, and understanding of social media platforms at a creative, audience and technical level
Successful completion of a drug and background screen is required
