AWS Training and Certification Business Operations is looking for a Software Dev Engineer to join an exciting new project team working to build tools that improve the efficiency of our global operations. Our mission is to create tools that simplify operations for a large global business that delivers training and certification to AWS employees, customers, and partners. This is a unique opportunity to contribute in building full-stack Service Oriented Architecture-based applications and system integrations from the ground up using cutting-edge technologies. We are looking for highly motivated Software Development Engineers to bring in their ideas and experience to help us reach our goals.Your role as a Software Development Engineer will be to bring your expertise in architecture, design, and operations to build solutions that help our business operate at scale. You will also create new services and capabilities to meet emerging needs as our business grows. Your knowledge of full stack development and architecture will be key as we ensure we meet our challenges from the user experience through to our data layer at Amazon scale.Responsibilities· Design, develop, and maintain web and API applications on AWS focusing on performance, scalability and stability· Integrate our systems with other Amazon business services.· Contribute to ideating new services to support products and initiatives across our AWS Learning Services space· Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, and identify opportunities to improve business processes through software automation· Collaborate on our technology roadmap, turn visions into reality.· Participate in Agile developmentBasic Qualifications· 2+ years of non-internship professional[1] software development experience.· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.· 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems..Preferred Qualifications· Passion for building and operating highly-available services· Experience developing cloud-native applications using AWS or other cloud providers· Experience building RESTful web services· Experience in web development with HTML5 and in one or more relevant frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js.· Comfortable in fast-paced, start-up like development environments· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this roleAmazon is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer Minority / Female / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation/ Age
