As a Software Engineer on this team you will embrace a common technical vision and develop software that will meet the product functional requirements and design constraints. In this role you will be a self-directed member of development team and contribute to the design, implementation and testing of the product. The software we develop will monitor and assess aircraft fault data to provide flight deck and maintenance personnel with appropriate information for assessing the health of the aircraft. There will be both on-board (semi-real-time to real-time) and off-board functionality to this software. Prior experience in developing software products in a complex system is critical to success in this role. These software products will support both commercial and defense aircraft platforms. Experience with Angular 2 framework is a huge plus (data binding, components, angular services, security, routing, state management, reusability, architecture, unit testing).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- Experience developing large scale, complex software systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Developing software and architectures in a complex system
- Experience developing software in an agile environment
- Hands on experience developing software in C++ and/or Java
- Experience developing applications using Angular 2 UI framework
- Working with embedded, real-time software
- Experience working with web-based applications deployed in the cloud
- Willingness to work with a geographically dispersed team
Typical Education/Experience: Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
