In-depth experience in designing networking systems and platform bring up
Participate on a project team of engineers involved in the development of software for our next generation platforms both (Enterprise and IoT) and cloud architectures. Define, architect, design, and deliver new software and features for the enterprise and Mobility platforms
Day to day activities will involve building new features, understanding features in a competitive product and proposing solutions that work for our platform, writing functional and design specifications, programming, unit and integration testing your code, helping review specifications and code for other software engineers in the team, helping documentation team with the configuration aspects of your feature.

The Platform and Mobility software team is a group of talented individuals responsible for the architecture, design, implementation and support of all infrastructure and features on the next generation (Enterprise and IoT) Platforms and Wireless WAN across all Cisco platforms. Innovation is in the team DNA who always do research in upcoming technologies and bring the ideas on to the table to productize.
Who You Are
3-5 years’ experience working as a senior engineer in high impact software development team
MSEE/CS combined with 5+ years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 7+ yrs related experience
5+ years of work experience on networking products
Linux system development exposure including build systems and versioning, familiarity with Virtualization
Advanced level knowledge of docker and/or virtual machines is a plus
Experience in Manageability technologies and protocols such as NetConf, RestConf, Yang (OpenConfig and IETF models), JSON and XML
Good understanding of networking protocols and different L2 to L7 technologies.
Programming experience in C/C++ /Python
Experience in all phases of SW development cycle with some exposure to agile development methodologies
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Linux kernel development
Good understanding Manageability technologies like NetConf, Confd, Yang and JSON
Familiarity with Integrating LTE stack on platforms is a plus
Understanding of platform Management, Control and Data plane
Fluency in Python language is a plus
Expertise architecting and developing scalable REST API and JSON
· Familiarity with LXC/KVM/Docker/libvirt, Cgroups. LSM, Kubernetes is a plus
