What You'll Do
You will be part of a dynamic software engineering team to design, develop and sustain software for UCS server & storage platforms. You will construct leading edge Storage Solutions & Technology.
Who You'll Work With
You will work within Data Center Business Group engineering team who specializes in High-Performance Computer, Network, and Storage platform software development.
Who You Are
Design and develop control and management plane features for Cisco HyperFlex Distributed Storage and Virtualization systems. Develop highly reliable, efficient & high performing manageability software back end.
Design and implement robust and highly secure RESTful APIs for all functionality.
Develop to vSphere/vCenter interfaces to collect information or configure, design and implement algorithms for system monitoring, provisioning, access control, distributed fail overs, cloud-based management solutions. Alternate to vSphere, develop similar software to Linux/KVM system for hosting volumes and containers.
Adhere to robust enterprise class design, security and coding practices. Create effective unit and integration tests. Write functional specifications. Implement features in Java/Python/Scala/Ansible and other languages. Bring in your debug and diagnosing expertise.
Be passionate in developing highly reliable, secure, usable and extensible control plane / management plane code.
Proven hands-on coding experience required in Java & Python. Scala experience is a plus. Experience with Webservers and REST APIs.
Experience/understanding of scalable and distributed systems, especially ensuring robustness in distributed failover scenarios and being managed from the cloud.
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science with 10+ years of industry experience.
