1st shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: Software Engineer works with business, architects, data domain lead and cross functional teammates in an Agile environment and responsible for understanding requirements of Marketing applications data integration and data assets build on Big Data technologies. This role will be part of Marketing data transformation team, and will be responsible for design, development, test and implement key marketing data integrations/assets that’s leveraged by data analytics team to not just build insights and models but also report on offers/campaigns effectiveness across multiple digital/non-digital channels. This role will also work closely with team of global resources in onshore-offshore model for code development and testing activities.
Bachelor’s degree with 6-8 years of experience in DW-BI projects. Fully hands on experience in some of the Big Data technologies like Informatica BDM/PowerCenter, Spark, Scala and Kafka, Restful API framework / web services, and Database platforms such as DB2, Oracle, SQL Server.
Good understanding of data warehouse concepts and has at least 1-2 years of experience in Agile methodologies.
Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge.
Sound understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes.
Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices.
Ability to lead complex projects.
Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems.
Ability to influence others at senior levels to adopt a new perspective.
Master’s degree or MBA and 10 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Banking or financial services experience.
Deep knowledge and experience with two or more of the following:
Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills. Professional experience building apps or services from the ground up and scaling at an enterprise level. Experience with Open Source tools and frameworks. Strong understanding of SOA methodologies and service architectures. Experience using web servers, application containers, caching technologies. Solid knowledge of relational database design and development (SQL, stored procedures, data modeling). Experience with messaging systems (i.e., MQ and JMS). Experience with build tools, such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins. Proven ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
