A Solution Architect capitalizes on in-depth
knowledge of customer process, applications and decision criteria in his/her
segment. The Solution Architect works inside a country or region closely with
the Sales to bring a differentiating value proposition to the customer,
leveraging the complete Schneider Electric EcoStruxure offer portfolio (Multi
BU / Tier 3 solutions).
Qualifications
Activities and responsibilities for the
respective position:


Communicates with staff or clients to understand
specific system requirements.


Provides advice on project costs, design
concepts, or design changes.


Documents design specifications, installation
instructions, and other system-related information. Verifies stability,
interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture.


Collaborates with engineers or software
developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility
of system components.


Evaluates current or emerging technologies to
consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability.


Provides technical guidance or support for the
development or troubleshooting of systems.


Identifies system data, hardware, or software
components required to meet user needs.


Provides customers or installation teams
guidelines for implementing secure systems.


Directs the analysis, development, and operation
of complete computer systems.


Investigates system component suitability for
specified purposes and makes recommendations regarding component use.


Configures servers to meet functional
specifications.


Develops or approves project plans, schedules, or
budgets.


Defines and analyzes objectives, scope, issues,
or organizational impact of information systems.


Develops system engineering, software
engineering, system integration, or distributed system architectures.


Designs and conducts hardware or software tests.


Establishes functional or system standards to
address operational requirements, quality requirements, and design constraints.


Evaluates existing systems to determine
effectiveness and suggest changes to meet organizational requirements.


Researches, tests, or verifies proper functioning
of software patches and fixes.


Communicates project information through
presentations, technical reports, or white papers.


Completes models and simulations, using manual or
automated tools, to analyze or predict system performance under different
operating conditions.


Directs the installation of operating systems,
network or application software, or computer or network hardware.


Trains system users in system operation or
maintenance.


Performs security analyses of developed or
packaged software components.


Develops application-specific software.


Implements Control, Monitoring, and Load
management in the electrical substations.


Responsible for controlling and monitoring the
Electrical Distribution Grid with regards to Power Quality and Outage
Management.


Knowledgeable of solutions for substation
automation, Microgrids and distributed generation, and communications and
networking infrastructure.


Knowledgeable of solutions requiring IEC61850,
DNP3.0, and legacy communication protocols.


Knowledgeable of solutions for overhead and
underground distribution automation, including VVO and cap bank control.


Utilizes his NERC-CIP Cyber Security knowledge
and asset management.


Knowledgeable of solutions for renewable energy
applications related to control and monitoring, wind, solar, and hydro.


Knowledgeable of solutions which integrate
protective relays.



Understands customer needs and handles asset
management and technical problems.
