Thisposition will be seated at the National Cyber-Forensics & Training Alliancein Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and will serve as a key liaison post for AmericanExpress with international law enforcement / private sector partners for thepurpose of helping to reduce and control fraud losses and conducting externalinvestigations into suspected fraud against American Express.  Emphasis will be placed on routine andmoderately complex cases involving online activity. The incumbent will help to ensurethe successful prosecution of individuals charged with committing crimes againstthe Company.

Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to:

- Conductroutine and moderately complex cybercrime investigations with minimalsupervision
- Assistwith highly complex cybercrime investigations (eg., involving organized andinternational criminal groups);
- Collectand compile evidence; document investigative activity and evidence in casemanagement system;
- Pulldata, locate records, and run reports; study data to uncover patterns, trends,and anomalies 
- Interviewvictims, claimants, witnesses, suspects and potential suspects; recordstatements
- Assistwith undercover and/or sting operations
- Workwith national and international law enforcement agencies to investigate andprosecute crimes;
- Workwith law enforcement on fraud prevention initiatives;
- Assistwith forensic examination of plastic cards, paper documents and equipment(computers, hard drives, skimming devices, etc.)
- Collaborateon fraud and cyber investigations with counterparts at other organizations
- Preparewitness statements, provide information in response to court orders, andtestify in court
- Collaborateon fraud and cyber investigations with counterparts at other organizations
- Collectintelligence about criminal networks or organized groups that commit financialcrimes
- Workwith internal groups to help American Express minimize risk and exposure tofraud, especially through online channels
- Bachelor’s Degree or other 4-year degree a plus. Preferred fields of study to include computer science, criminal justice and/or social sciences.
- Ideal candidate will have at least 2years’ experience in law enforcement and/or investigative work although candidateswith advanced degrees will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of computers, operatingsystems and system architecture a plus.
- Should be well versed on the latesttechnology and current issues in the field.
- Strong leadership and inter-personalskills to motivate and influence business colleagues, government agencies, lawenforcement and industry partners to support all facets of the Company’s fraudreduction and risk initiatives.
- Must be able to speak with authority asa subject matter expert to those of different skill levels in electronic crimeinvestigations.
- Required to be on call 24/7/365.
