Accountemps currently has short-term temporary opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant who enjoys taking on new challenges and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:

- Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

- An endless desire to improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Prepare reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts

- Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

- Prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

- Other projects as necessary

- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

- Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

- We are searching for candidates that are proficient in financial reporting

- SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

- Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

- Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

- Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner

- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

- Oracle experience highly desired

- Month end closings experience

- Monthly Account Reconciliation experience

- Practical knowledge of reconciliations

- Month-end Close Activities experience preferred

- Well-founded grasp of SQL

- Proven knowledge of Oracle SQL

- General familiarity with Microsoft Excel

- Proficiency in Month-end Journal Entries

- Proficient in ERP systems

- A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

- The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
