Role and Responsibilities

This position will be responsible management reporting enhancements, data analysis and research requests, trend analysis, project management of both IT related and business related projects.  In addition enhancing and improving management policies, procedures and control items.  Project related duties include but are not limited to developing timelines, business requirements and test conditions, testing, status reporting and managing to timelines.   Other duties will include modeling various outcomes based on business projections, and providing data for business and audit requests.   

Responsibilities fo the Senior Business Analyst include but are not limited to:

- Enhancing and improving management policies, procedures and control items
- Enhancing and improving management reporting, ensuring consistency, accuracy and timeliness
- Working with other broker/dealer departments to align with company goals
- Ensuring existing reports are provided timely and consistently
- Developing trend analysis on data available for reporting
- Managing projects that are IT or business related, ensuring timelines are adhered to and requesting additional resources if needed
- Routinely providing status of projects to managmement
- Developing business requirements, test conditions and other project related requirements
- Completing and documenting test results
- Providing data requested for audits from all B/D related systems including AGILEnet, AWD, Wealthscape, Envestnet, etc., ensuring accuracy and completeness at all times
- Data modeling using various inputs and business projections
- Managing priorities and deadlines, understanding the impact to other areas and proposing solutions with the greatest positive impact
- Researching, investigating, reporting and proposing solutions to issues identified by management, auditors or regulators

Qualifications and Education Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of broker dealer or financial industry experience or may be substituted with 10 years of broker dealer or financial industry experience
- FINRA licensed is preferred
- Insurance business experience desirable, but not required
- Project management or process improvement training and experience
- Experience in development of business requirements and test conditions
- Data analysis experience, i.e. analyzing large volumes of data and recognizing inconsistencies and/or erroneous information or trends
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Advanced Microsoft Access skills preferred - ability to develop databases. Build tables, queries, forms, reports and macros
