Sr. Counsel/Vice President, Employment Law
Legal & Business Affairs
Act as a lead day-to-day Employment attorney for Universal Parks and Resorts (UPR) and other NBCU businesses as needed. Provide additional employment law support for businesses in California and Asia.
Advise management, Human Resources and other UPR and NBCUniversal lawyers with respect to all employment law issues, including business restructuring, employment policy development and application, worker classification, workforce management, discrimination and harassment claims and wage-and-hour matters.
Oversee and provide counsel on internal investigations of employment-related and other types of complaints, ensuring that claims are addressed promptly, thoroughly and appropriately.
Represent the Company working with other in-house and outside counsel as appropriate, with respect to mediation and litigation of employment claims and the employment-related aspects of acquisitions and dispositions of businesses.
Draft settlement and separation agreements; draft mediation briefs and EEOC position statements and responses.
Create and deliver management and employee training programs.

Law Degree

Member in good standing of the State Bar of Florida or member in good standing of another State Bar and registered as in-house counsel

Minimum of 7 years of Employment Law experience for the Senior Counsel level and 10 years of Employment Law experience for the Vice President level.
