Mars Petcare is looking for a Sr. Manager Co-Man, Co Pack & Innovation in Nashville, TN


Purpose of Role:

The Sr Manager - Co-Man, Co-Pack & Innovation will work cross-functionally and with Suppliers to create and execute the broad innovation and go-to-market strategy that will drive Mars Petcare’s ability to meet the planned financial targets into the future.  The successful candidate will leverage the Mars Petcare external manufacturing and co-packing networks to optimize cost, execute flex capacity requirements, innovate, and provide the same quality of products that our customers receive from Mars Petcare internal manufacturing facilities today. This people leader will also be responsible for contributing to and executing strategy innovation, including both growth and cost savings opportunities that can be driven by optimally managing our supply base and specifically our critical suppliers, to achieve these goals. This role will have close linkage with current suppliers, ensuring that scorecards are maintained and evaluated regularly.  Additionally, this individual will work cross-functionally to provide the conduit for Suppliers to bring new technology or ideas to Mars Petcare, utilizing current relationships to ensure the best quality products on time and in the right quantities.  This leader will ensure that innovation, productivity and cash flow targets are met for all years.  Finally, this role will be responsible for leading and developing a highly engaged team that is recognized for delivering results and leading the organization.


Principal Accountabilities:

Contributes to the development of the overall functional strategy via four major areas of emphasis: network optimization, strategic sourcing, utilizing Mars Petcare’s scale for EM raw/packs/logistics inputs, and Total Cost of Ownership perspective. 

Develop and deploy plans to leverage supplier capabilities and maximize opportunities to meet quality, cost and service requirements.  Communicate supplier capabilities and develop capacity and contingency/continuity plans.

Work with Suppliers on developing and documenting contingency and disaster recovery plans for all products manufactured outside of the Mars Petcare
