We are a looking for a passionate and talented individual to come do an internship with our Power, Performance and Thermal (PPT) Validation team within Intel's SSD group.
You will join a team of experienced engineers and mentors and will be in a position to make important contributions to the development of thermal solutions for Intel's Client and Data center products. You will work closely with the hardware design team and the firmware development team. The candidate should have strong problem solving and communication skills. The candidate should be interested in getting an understanding of platform architecture and general knowledge of computer system design.
- Work closely with HW design engineers/System Integrators in finding the root cause and fixes for failures
- Work closely with Validation leads to come up with test plan and test processes for new products
- Develop test strategies and work with development teams to automate these tests
- Analyze results, generate indicators and communicate status updates

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/ or work experience.
The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 3 months of experience in the following:
Debug and troubleshooting skillsvalidation with
Windows and Linux based operating systems
Thermal management tools and controls
Thermodynamics, fluid dynamics or heat transfer
high level programming and scripting languages (eg. C, python, perl, batch)
handling and taking measurements using DC Power analyzers
component and platform/system thermals
