Supervises, organizes, and coordinates the work and activities of assigned staff in accordance with University’s standards and the daily operational needs of the warehouse and property management departments.
Essential Duties SummarySupervises and schedules staff assignments related to the shipping, receiving and inventory of University goods. Supervises and/or recommends various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance evaluation, problem resolution, compensation, and scheduling time off. Provides training and counseling to assigned staff. Ensures that staff adheres to policies and procedures. Plans, organizes, assigns, and implements daily/weekly/monthly work activities and requests to ensure prompt delivery of all goods to campus departments. Acts as a liaison with campus departments and vendors to resolve issues of over shipment of items, incorrect shipments, return of damaged goods, and other issues regarding supplies and materials that do not meet order specifications. Acts as a liaison with campus departments to coordinate the annual property tagging, inventory and reconciliation processes. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Leadership/Supervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervises a section within the department or a small department of direct reports. Includes some human resources responsibilities for direct reports. Confers with manager or director about human resources and operational issues. If no supervisory responsibilities, serves as single incumbent for critical function.
Work Complexity/Budget AuthorityTasks are multiple and diverse with some interrelationship across processes. Handles some unrelated functions. Work requires the direct application of a variety of procedures, policies and/or precedents. May monitor budget activities but no responsibility for budget and expenditure authority.

Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Working/Environmental ConditionsWorking conditions involves some exposure to moderate risk of accident and require following basic safety precautions. Physical demands include moderate physical activity that includes prolonged standing and/or walking, handling moderate weight objects and/or using or carrying equipment. Work may require routine travel.
