Nature of Work


The System Support Analyst will be responsible for daily support of UWG applications and web-based solutions. The analyst also participate in a full range of analysis and software support tasks to support UWG operations and strategic


objectives.


In addition, the analyst will:


• Create reports and provide data to end


users.


• Provide system support while:


-Installing, configuring, troubleshooting,


and maintaining UWG systems and


web-based solutions.


-Creating and maintaining system


documentation.


-Continuously identifying areas for


processing and systems improvement


-Providing solution recommendations.


• Deliver System Patching, Upgrades and


Implementations by:


-Maintaining responsibility for activities


related to system patching, upgrades


and implementations.


-Developing and maintaining test


documentation for system patching,


upgrades and implementations


• Be Responsible for End User Support


• Handle Troubleshooting and Issue


Resolution


• Provide Problem Resolution


• Deliver User Administration


• Handle System Configuration and


Customization


• Inforce Security and Compliance


• Be Responsible for Project


Management Services

Required Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Technology, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent work experience.


Three years of varying internal/external IT experience including working with various academic/business units outside of IT environment. Basic experience with Windows operating systems. Experience with Unix operating system is a plus. Understanding of database concepts and hands-on experience with SQL queries. Applied understanding of the Application Support Lifecycle. Ability to work autonomously and communicate with academic/business units and IT staff.


Must have strong customer service skills. Must have understanding of business analysis principles and practices as well as Application Support Lifecycle. Solid understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle process. Strong verbal and written communications skills and effectiveness and comfort level with presentations to multiple levels of an organization. Ability to process and blend multiple disciplines (i.e.technical, financial, operational, etc.) to provide high-level consultations and recommendations to campus stakeholders. Must be able to communicate in technical terms with multiple IT groups. Must have ability to write advanced SQL statements for reporting and scripting for application support. Ability to balance the demands of multiple projects, conflicts, and time pressures constructively and efficiently to meet organizational needs.


Preferred Qualifications


Experience working with higher education ERP systems desirable.


Completion of a Professional Technical Certification preferred


Salary $45,540.00/yrly Minimum - $58,632/yrly Midpoint Physical Requirements/Working Conditions


Must be able to traverse to locations across large campus in a timely manner;


This position is expected to comply with the University’s standard working hours. In addition, this position must be available outside of normal working hours, including nights and weekends, to complete routine system maintenance, or respond to emergency system outages.
