Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in Python and SQL.
Preferred qualifications:
MS or PhD in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
5 years of experience in Data Analysis, Research, Risk and Fraud Investigation or Internet Industry.
Experience involving the following:optimization methods (linear, non-linear, multi-criteria, dynamic programming), quantitative analysis, statistical analysis, or statistical modeling.
Experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence methodologies (linear and non-linear regressions, ensemble models, neural networks, deep networks, support vector machines, anomaly detection, clustering, etc.)
Demonstrated analytical thinking through data-driven decisions. Technical know-how, charisma and ability to work with your team to make a big impact.
Attention to detail, strong process improvement, prioritization and multi-tasking capabilities.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. Google's Trust and Safety org has the critical responsibility of protecting Google's users by ensuring online safety by fighting abuse and fraud across Google products like Gmail, Drive, Search, Maps, Google Ads, Google Cloud and APIs.
The Cloud Trust and Safety team's mission is to protect the world from abuse coming from Google Cloud Platform
Our team is comprised of 4 main verticals - Abuse Intelligence, Engineering, User Research and Management. The team you will join (Cloud T&S System Intelligence) will span all 4 of these verticals and has the critical responsibility of scaling our overall operations efficiently and effectively in a dynamic, high-visibility, and fast-growing ecosystem.
You will leverage data science, operations research, deepdive investigations, AI, natural language processing, and other technologies to drive strategy, execution and automation across the larger org.

Drive initiatives in the areas of Operational Excellence and Automation.
Work collaboratively and cross functionally (e.g., Ops, Product, Sales, Support, Engineering, etc.) to ensure coordination and alignment on objectives and key results.
Deliver thought leadership and impact as part of the broader Trust and Safety Cloud team.
Measure impact and establish metrics for programs which, by their nature, often focus on harder-to-measure intangibles - and, using this data, make informed decisions on subsequent actions.
