Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of professional experience in software development, using JavaScript or HTML/CSS and Java or Python.
Experience with distributed systems, architectures, and systems integration.
Experience with front-end development tools and infrastructures.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working with microcontrollers and other electronic devices, especially controlling electronic devices through software.
Experience in multi-tiered systems (e.g., Python, front-end web development, cloud storage, messaging).
Experience building continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines. Experience with application development for Android.
Experience in a technical leadership or management role.
Experience in problem-solving and technical innovation.
Experience in a technical role and excellent management and communication skills.

The Experience Studio team is responsible for designing and building customer facing spaces at Google, like our BrandLab in San Bruno. We're a team of designers, producers, engineers, and business thinkers whose mission is to inspire Google’s customers through the interactive spaces that we create. Our job is to design and deliver engaging physical experiences that tell Google’s story, make Google’s magic more apparent, and communicate Google’s ability to grow customers’ businesses into the digital age and guide their brands into the future.
As a Technical Lead, you will join the Experience Studio team to help drive innovative projects using standard engineering practices in order to deliver on the Experience Studio’s goal of using technology and space to tell Google’s story. In this role, you’ll be leading a team of contract engineers and creative technologists who have been creating interactive, immersive experiences for Google’s Experience Centers and other spaces within Google. You’ll be setting technology standards and strategy, as well as spurring the team to expand the limits of the interactive storytelling experience at Google.

Provide leadership and management to contract engineers in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
Manage and drive complex technical projects from planning through execution and design to production. Lead the process, create the design documents and architectural diagrams, and contribute to the code as necessary.
Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution, and success of all technical aspects of our exhibit development.
Define and create the development infrastructure and tooling for the software development of our exhibits.
Manage project priorities and technical resources. Manage relationships with multiple partner teams and/or vendors.
