As a Technical Solutions Engineer in the gChips Power and Performance group, you will focus on power and performance analysis, optimization and competitive analysis for custom accelerators. You will be the point of contact for all debugging, triaging and competitive analysis efforts. You'll also prototype and explore power/performance management schemes that spans drivers, OS and applications. You'll coordinate with Pixel Software Engineering teams, Hardware teams and other product areas to ensure that the system power and performance are optimal. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence software design and specification of custom accelerators and other hardware products.

Work closely with Software Engineers, Hardware Engineers and Product Management to identify, prioritize and fix power and performance issues.
Develop power and performance optimized solutions for Pixel and other hardware products.
Collaborate with Android and Machine Learning teams across Google to help them optimize power and performance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of work experience with systems software design and development.
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux.
Demonstrated programming skills in C or C++.
Knowledge of microprocessor architectures and experience in systems power/performance debugging and analysis. Knowledge of competitive analysis in systems power/performance.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work with minimum guidance.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create working relationships with cross-functional teams.
