Technical Supervisor, Special Effects
Theme Parks – Entertainment
Universal Studios
This temporary technical supervisor will support the technical direction team on the management and execution
of temporary guest attractions as part of Halloween Horror Nights 2019.


 Supporting Asst. Technical Manager for Electrical/FX in planning and implementation of
all special effects elements.
 Tracking and distribution FX elements
 Interfacing with SFX vendors and USH partners regarding project development and
punch list tracking.
 Special Effects R&D and technical design
 Assist in creating SFX mock‐ups for creative/EHS team review, as needed.
 Technical supervision during event operation.
Minimum 4 years of academic or professional experience in entertainment special FX,
props, and/or technical production.
o Experience with special FX R&D and technical design (AutoCAD) preferred.
 Very strong communication skills
 Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime
 Valid California Driver license
 Strong collaborator
