Description

Technical Writer Lead
PURPOSE:
Lead contributor on a team of writers (on and offshore) to plan and deliver documentation that helps clients understand and effectively use and implement Facets. Documentation encompasses, but not limited to, the following: wiki topics, Facets Interactive Content, videos, podcast as well as traditional documents.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting the Product      Owner in the following: planning documentation for each release of Facets,      setting expectations for each technical writer on the team, and following processes      that ensure the success of the team in meeting their deliverables on time.
Serving with peers and      other technical writers to articulate and address company-wide technical      communications processes and challenges.
Following      company-established standards, including working within the Agile      development process.
As needed, represent Communications      in internal and client-facing product meetings and planning sessions with      or without the Product Owner
Potential opportunity      for being the functional manager to others on the Communications team
Other tasks as      assigned.
TRAINING &  EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
5-10 years of experience planning, managing, delivering software      documentation.
Excellent writing and editing skills
Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
Previous people management experience a plus
Expertise using authoring tools like Confluence, and video      production tools like Captivate and Camtasia.
Healthcare industry a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS (Location, travel, etc.)
:
The position is located in Bridgewater, NJ.
This position has minimal travel requirements.
