Security Technician position supporting New England.
Understanding of Security, Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Alarm systems, Intercom systems or other building or electronic control systems.
Installation and service of security systems as required
This position is responsible for servicing and installing complex systems on time and to the customer’s satisfaction. These specialists will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing customer systems, performing scheduled maintenance, performing warranty work. Responsible for analyzing customer needs and making suggestions regarding expanded product offerings to existing customers.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
· Troubleshoot and repair complex customer systems
Install and commission new systems
Collaborate with Engineers and Project Manager
· Develop and implement hardware selections and software applications for assigned customers
· Manage scheduled maintenance agreements
· Request and deliver material as required
· Coordinate activities of subcontractors when necessary
· Create, load, and test system databases
· Check out and start up systems
· Provide on-site training to customers as needed
· Suggest system improvements, modifications, etc.
· Perform warranty work
· Complete documentation for assigned tasks
· Work with sales personnel to develop multi-year customer system upgrade plans, including short- and long-term customer budgets and account plans.
· Engineer small projects including upgrades and enhancements
Adhere to all Schneider Rules and Process such as CPP.B
Reporting to PM frequently, completes assignments, to insure timely and cost effective installation and completion of assigned projects or tasks.
Manages and provides documentation for the project file including correspondence, requests for information and timelines.  High quality communication adhering to company standards.
Proactively evaluates potential problems on the job and initiates action to limit negative outcomes.  Reviews customer’s systems during installation and, if needed, points out other areas of
improvement resulting in value added change-orders. Assist
project manager with required information for change orders.
Adheres to safety standards.  High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
Maintains viable relationships with customers, consultants
, prime contractors, subcontractors and trade personnel.  Attends job progress meetings as directed. Provides detailed instructions to and interfaces with installers and subcontractors.  Ensures that subcontractors readily understand expectations of the project.

· Two-year (2) degree in a related technical field or related work experience
MA Class D electrical license preferred, but not required. SE will offer classes
· 2+ years
Understanding of Security, Access Control, CCTV,
Intrusion Alarm systems, Intercom systems
or other building or electronic control systems.
Preferred experience with: Security technology equipment (Pelco, Continuum, AccessXpert, Genetec, Avigilon, Dvtel, Amag, Verint), electrical (low voltage), Information Technology, TCP/IP networks, servers, domains, firewalls, routing, windows and mobile Operating systems.
Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain and improve customer relationships and provide highest level of customer service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to relate technical terminology to Customers, listen effectively, persuade and influence decision-makers, and
