JOB DESCRIPTION:Position Summary

To maintain, calibrate, service, troubleshoot and repair measuring and test equipment (M&TE) and control systems used in manufacturing, quality .assurance, and research and development and plant utilities areas. May be required to work on a variety of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, mechanical, process control systems, and optical types of M&TE. The Technician III will work under the direction of the subject matter expert (SMB) until such time that experience dictates progressively moving to more difficult assignments. After demonstrating appropriate efficiency, the Instrument Technician III can progress to an Instrumentation Technician ll.

Main Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities: · Performs calibrations/services on M&TE with written policy and procedures. · Completes Calibration/Test Records with accuracy and timeliness. · Performs some repair on all types of M&TE with assistance.

When required, processes paperwork such as work orders, and various other forms that may be required. · Completes and processes work orders with accuracy and timeliness. · Works with senior technician to develop troubleshooting skills. · Communicates, with the assistance of senior technicians, the status of repairs regarding the customers equipment, until completion. · Completes all necessary training requirements on documents, computer based training, and scheduled training classes in a timely manner. · Ensures that GMP/GLP and safe work policies and procedures are followed and maintained at all times in accordance with established company policies. · Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by Group Leader, Supervisor, or SR Supervisor.

Qualifications

Recommend a high school education with a minimum or 4 yrs of related work experience. Comparable military service training may be acceptable if it is directly applicable to the job assignment. Education, experience and related military service will be evaluated on a individual basis.   · Knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, optical theory and related test procedures to test, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair and modify all types of M&TE. · Skilled in prioritizing daily workload for optimal efficiency. · Ability to operate automotive vehicle with a valid drivers license and a good driving record. · Ability to communicate with customers through various means. · Ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment.
