About This Position


The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine's Department of Public Health Sciences has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Research Assistant. The Research Assistant contributes with research investigators by providing research and experimentation support while following established protocols. Further, the Research Assistant performs a clerical role to ensure the smooth operations of office facilities.


The duties and responsibilities for this temporary position may include, but are not limited to:


- Review and classify over 2,000 citations to examine utility and breadth of application
- Perform qualitative key informant interviews
- Conduct “landscaping” analysis of advances in the field of health professions education
- Develop a set of exemplary case studies of transformational health professions education
- Prepare/write a 5-paper “series” for The Lancet
- Work on various project supporting documents
- Troubleshooting and developing our methods


Minimum Qualifications


High school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of relevant experience. Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines. Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary. Commitment to the University’s core values. Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
