JOB DESCRIPTION:
Years Experience: 3-5+ years in related field with sewing background


Skills: experience with sewing; attention to detail. Ability to work with very small detail work; Use of microscope; Sewing experience preferred but not required. 


Education: HS Diploma or GED, Must read, write and speak fluent English


Duties: Valve Specialists will be responsible for assembling heart valves in accordance with approved manufacturing and quality inspection procedures. Valve Specialists will utilize small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measuring equipment, microscopes and test fixtures.  Valve Specialists will be required to work in a cleanroom environment with cleanroom gowns, masks and head coverings.  Valve specialists must work well in a team environment and can assess the work and environment for improvement possibilities.  Valve Specialists will work with animal tissue and various chemicals. Specialist III’s must be able to cross-train and flex to other areas as needed. They may assist in training and aid the trainer to make sure all training is complete and in compliance as needed.
