Treasury Operations provides a global, integrated hub to efficiently manage funding, collateral and intraday liquidity resources and risk across Barclays.  Our mission is to build a scalable organization that will deliver best in class service, controls, and analytics to the businesses to help them make better informed judgment on their costs, capital, risk and regulatory requirements.
Our team is based in Glasgow, London, Singapore, Tokyo, New York, and Delaware and supports most businesses across the Firm, including but not limited to Treasury, Fixed Income and Commodities, Foreign Exchange, Equities, Prime Brokerage and Barclays Corporate.

We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills able to learn quickly and absorb complex problems. The ability to identify, interpret and drive solutions to business problems is key to the successful delivery of this role. In addition, the candidate should be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and willing to take the initiative to solve new, complex problems.

What will you be doing?
•Responsible for the oversight of Treasury Operations Funding and Intraday Liquidity processes
•Spearhead the development of new processes and/or projects to improve projections accuracy while maximizing liquidity
•Act as a key Subject Matter Expert for business driven initiatives to meet Regulatory and Firm requirements
•Strong understanding of process flow in order to prioritize issues, escalate appropriately, and figure a feasible course of action
•Lead and manage a team of Analysts focusing on Staff Development, including coaching sessions and Performance reviews
•Develop and nurture strong relationships with peers across Treasury, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Emerging Markets, Sales, and Prime Brokerage as well as external Agent Banks
 
What we’re looking for:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferably degree in Economics or Finance
•5+ years’ experience with financial products (fixed income, equities, secured vs. unsecured financing) and liquidity management
•5+ years’ experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
 
Skills that will help you in the role:
•5+ years of Treasury, and/or Funding Management experience in a large financial institution with 2+ years of People Management
•Experience leading business initiatives with accountability to Senior Management a plus
•Strong understanding payment systems, including SWIFT processing across multiple currencies
•Strong control mindset with proven ability to identify, escalate, and remediate control gaps
