Description

The Weight Team Lead is responsible is responsible for developing component weight targets that align with fuel economy plans and will maintain weight status for truck programs, ensuring compliance reports are accurate, compliant and submitted on time. The Engineer will also report weight status to the entire product development community on a regular basis and lead creation and implementation of weight reduction actions. He/she will be responsible for working with all areas of product development and will develop and maintain competitive comparisons for both components and vehicles.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program
Five years of relevant experience
Must be a highly motivated, detail oriented, self-directed, and a process-oriented thinker
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong written and presentation skills
Ability to interface with all levels of management
Strong computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program
FCA experience in engineering, cost or weight-related field
Program management experience
Working knowledge of FCA engineering processes/tools (PDB, EBOM, VWMS, FastCar2, STV, etc.)
