Brief Description of the Organization CBNA is the primary legal entity for Citi, providing products and services to consumers, financial institutions and corporate clients around the world. In the past, Citi has provided most of its internal reporting on a business by business basis. With the changes in the regulatory environment, strong legal entity reporting and governance has become essential. This team is responsible for ensuring that CBNA has the appropriate governance and control infrastructure to meet the demand for legal entity planning, execution, information management and the ever-evolving regulatory environment.
Description of the Position
Trust Business Risk Team is a unit within the Citi Private Bank Trust CAO organization and is responsible for the control programs for Trust Centers globally.

The Trust Business Risk Manager will be responsible for implementing the strategic direction of the Trust Business Risk Team including all control processes (both internal and client facing) across the Trust centers
The Trust Business Risk Manager which will be a direct report of the Global Trust Business Risk Head, will have responsibility for ensuring Trust operates in a controlled manner within the policies, procedures and guidelines established by the Global Private Bank and the Regional Private Bank Business Risk Units.
The Trust Business Risk Manager will partner with CPB's Regional Business Risk Heads and other control functions (ICRM, ORM, CA) to ensure control processes are deployed in a consistent and effective manner across their Trust Centers and will be the primary point of contact for all audits and regulatory inquiries within their region(s). The Trust Business Risk Manager Head will work closely with local Trust Business Risk Officers counterpart to ensure that all processes and controls are consistent on a global basis and that discrepancies do not arise between Trust Centers.

The Trust Business Risk Manager will be required to build relationships with various stakeholders across CPB. This includes CPB Compliance, Audit, Legal, Technology and Operations, GMMs, Private Bankers, Business Managers and others as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
· Strategic leadership to identify and manage risks inherent in CPB's Global Trust business
· In partnership with the Global Trust Business Risk Head, lead and direct strategic initiatives with the purpose of managing client and operational risk while designing efficient processes
· Responsibility for aligning Trust with CPB policies and procedures and ensuring policies and procedures identify and mitigate business risk
· Regional audit and regulatory exam management, including engagement directly with auditors and regulators
· Responsibility for regional Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and Issues Being Addressed By Management (IBAM) process and associated success rates
· Management of Trust's Manager Control Assessment (MCA) program along with the associated self-testing and risk management processes
· Proactive engagement with Global and Regional control functions to manage and deliver policy change initiatives to the Trust business to ensure the business is 100% aligned with the firms broader requirements
· Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree required
· A minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in control function, operations, banking compliance, risk management, legal or other control-related function in the financial services industry.
· Strong analytical skills, and must be able to multi-task and complete projects on time.
· Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills.
· High aptitude for proactive problem analysis and resolution.
· Ability to build and foster internal relationships
· Knowledge of CPB policies and how they relate to business processes
· Strategic thinker with intellectual curiosity
· Demonstrated leader capable of driving change
· Expert understanding of operational risk management, best practices and control initiatives
· Superior communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with an ability to work independently
· Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) in English. Spanish is a plus.
