AIG’s underwriters help to find insurance solutions for risks from a range of areas including life insurance, aviation, financial lines, casualty, environmental, catastrophic events, high net worth individuals, and boardroom liabilities.


AIG has an opportunity for an underwriter role. Reporting to the regional Retail Property leadership, this underwriter role will be primarily responsible to execute the underwriting strategy for Retail Property.

- Assume an active role in all aspects of the segment’s business, including marketing, risk evaluation, proposal development and binding of accounts.
- Be responsible for marketing and underwriting surplus lines property business through brokers in the New York Area.
- Manage and grow a challenging book of business as well as underwrite and market property products.


What we are looking for


- Minimum of 5 years property underwriting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
- Understand regulatory and compliance processes.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
