User Experience Designer
Barclays Consumer Bank has a clear focus on creating intuitive customer experiences that are driven from an evidence based design process; you will be the lynchpin of that principle. Working with a team 20+ strong across a global team of UX, UI Design, UX copy, and product owners, you will help shape experiences through close collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
What will you be doing?
•Work cross functionally with colleagues global and local to shape and support a consistent set of best practices, and deliver project requirements and outputs.
•Lead projects from an experience engineering perspective and deliver against team and project processes and methodologies.
•Work closely with stakeholders and team members to execute on data and research, ensuring experiences are engineered using best practices, on brand, and achieve defined goals.
•Support all experience engineering initiatives across all channels and touch-points, both digital and non-digital.
•Lead any project through our UX design lifecycle, working closely with stakeholders, team members, technology teams, and others to achieve tested, validated results, outputs, successfully meeting metrics goals.
•Support and produce for all customer experience design needs, across all channels.
•Identify opportunities to further cross sell UX and research across the business
•Attend industry event and support further learning and development through internal and online training
What we’re looking for:
•5+ years of experience in HTML, CSS, JS and various frameworks
•5+ years of experience constructing wire frameworks using Axure, InVision or similar skills
•5+ years of experience in an agile environment
Skills that will help you in the role:
•A relevant degree (e.g. Human Factors, UX, HCI or Cognitive Psychology) and a minimum of five years’ of commercial experience in interaction design or UX engineering
•Experience in financial sector
•Good working knowledge of AGILE software (e.g. Rally/AGILE Central, Jira, Confluence)
•Hands-on experience with human factors and the psychology of human interactions.
