User Experience Designer, Intern/Co-op

Complete a three, six, nine or twelve month session between or in conjunction with college semesters or quarters working as a member of the Digital Experience team. Design, develop and support user interfaces for customer-facing websites and native apps. Collaborate with various business and technical project stakeholders to review and visualize requirements in wireframes/prototypes. Provide day-to-day support to development teams. Essential Job Functions:
Collaborate with the User Experience team to create wireframes/prototypes
Communicate designs to project stakeholders and process/incorporate feedback into designs
Support User Experience team during technical implementation
Monitor user engagement and identify opportunities for improvement/innovation
Champion company standards/best practices
Advocate for the voice of the user, but also consider technical limitations to ensure recommended designs are usable, feasible and scalable
Work and collaborate with design and development teams to understand technology requirements and capabilities as they relate to the user interface
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:
Currently pursuing an associates or bachelor’s degree at an accredited university
Passion for current design trends/technologies and a desire to communicate this knowledge across the team
Familiar with universally accepted usability principles and best practices
Ability to interact well in a team environment
Portfolio of work demonstrating work experience
Proficient using design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, OmniGraffle, Keynote, etc.)
Experience with rapid prototyping using techniques such as sketching or wireframing
Desired Previous Job Experience:
Experience in a professional work environment
Experience managing multiple priorities between school, work and/or extra-curricular activities
Involvement in extracurricular and community activities while showing potential leadership traits
