Responsibilities
The Vice President, AdSmart Programmatic is a critical role, focused on growing and scaling NBCUniversal’s programmatic and digital portfolio, supporting advanced advertising initiatives. The position will focus on data-driven advertising, digital marketplaces, data collection, and programmatic strategy for AdSmart. Data-driven advertising solutions are paramount in sustaining and growing NBCUniversal’s Ad Sales division. The Vice President, AdSmart Programmatic will be highly visible and influential to the overall strategy of the group.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
Growth Strategy:
 
Identify, initiate and lead growth strategy initiatives for programmatic, enabling rapid revenue growth in collaboration with sales leadership and senior stakeholders across NBCU departments and partner organizations
Lead business planning initiatives for programmatic sales, including development of the annual financial plan, and associated resource planning and organizational strategy
Partner with Ad Sales Management on go-to-market strategy (Upfront strategies, multi-platform selling, portfolio selling, etc.)
Drive monetization of new offerings by setting sales strategy and operationalizing end-to-end processes for new products & partnerships
Optimize approach to digital partnerships with a focus on innovation and growth
Programmatic:
 
Evaluate various players in the programmatic marketplace and the quality of their solutions
Build strategy for vendor selection and implementation methodology
Manage a programmatic team of highly technical professionals and engineers
Analyze competitive landscape and trends within programmatic advertising
Executive Communication:
 
Distill complex media, advertising and technology concepts into clear and simple executive communications
Communicate plans around expansion and improvement of programmatic capabilities
Speak on behalf of the AdSmart team at conferences and speaker series
 
 
 Digital and Data:
 
Use expertise in the area of digital data targeting to strategize programmatic solutions
Collaborate with data-focused peers and partners within the advanced advertising marketplace (both internal and external) to drive growth

Qualifications/Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of experience working in the digital advertising vertical, with at least 5 years of experience working in programmatic advertising sales marketplace
• Advanced advertising product experience, with proven ability to define a value proposition and develop growth strategy
• Technical acumen with demonstrated ability to discuss technical concepts, work with engineering team, and define a programmatic product roadmap
• Track record of success motivating and leading stakeholders across a complex, matrixed organization to drive change
• Experience troubleshooting in real-time and strategizing long-term priorities
• Ability to communicate and work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, aligning interests of multiple stakeholders
• Demonstrates clear verbal and written communication skills
• Shows effective interpersonal & networking skills
• Demonstrates advanced quantitative and analytical skills
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Ability to travel as required
