Responsible for overseeing the entire Financial Aid function including, but not limited to facilitation, packaging, and compliance. Includes the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department. Provides oversight and direction to the Student Accounts Department including strategic development related to account collection. Serves on the President’s Council.

Oversees the Office of Admissions operations. Provides leadership and direction. Will select, evaluate and supervise Admissions staff. Fosters a leadership environment that integrates all areas of the University to enhance and promote effective enrollment strategies; prepares appropriate reports, analyzes and evaluates enrollment and retention data and builds forecast models for recruitment and retention to be used in strategic decision making and University planning; serves as a member of various University committees and liaison to University community, off campus organizations, conferences and meetings; develops and implements strategic plans, goals and numeric objectives in target markets; develops collects and interprets marketing data to make recommendations regarding recruitment and retention of students; establishes policies to increase prospect and applicant pools and improve academic quality of incoming students; engages University constituencies in enrollment management process including alumni, faculty and students; educates campus on current and emerging enrollment practices; develops, collects, analyzes and interprets packaging and enrollment data to make recommendations regarding recruitment and retention of students; works closely with student accounts office to develop enrollment models and provide exemplary customer service to students and families; establishes strategies for improving overall retention, especially freshman to sophomore retention rates; and develops, collects, analyzes and interprets retention and attrition data to make recommendations regarding recruitment and retention of students.

Oversees the Financial Aid Department’s operations. Provides leadership and direction. Will select, evaluate and supervise counseling and operations staff in the Financial Aid Department; establishes and monitors a strategic financial aid plan for student recruitment and retention, optimizing state, federal and institutional aid; and coordinates communications between financial aid/admissions and prospective students.

Oversees the Student Account operations. Provides leadership and direction. Will select, evaluate and supervise counseling and operations staff in the Student Accounts Department; ensures compliance with applicable Federal laws, regulations policies and procedures, manages the process of student bills, financial aid disbursements, the collection of payments, the accuracy of the refund process, and the collections of delinquent accounts.


Qualifications Minimum Education Level Required: Bachelor’s Degree (*Master’s degree preferred)

Minimum Experience Level Required: Seven years of related experience and/or training. Demonstrated leadership, preferably in private, tuition-dependent colleges or universities, or proven ability in a leadership capacity in recruitment and retention outside of higher education.

Other: Ability to work extended hours, evenings or weekends and special events as needed. Must have a valid driver’s license.
