VP, Health Economics and Outcome Research (HEOR): Remote position

As the VP, you will have direct management and oversight to deliver high quality research. You will work closely with Business Development as the SME when speaking with clients and thought leadership. You will oversee the design and execution of a portfolio of research studies intended to address health economic and health policy questions using a range of potential techniques and approaches including modeling, database analysis, and/or evidence synthesis.


- Build HEOR/Patient Reported Outcomes business from scratch; ground floor of a new business line within an existing profitable business.
- Evaluate, plan and recommend changes existing data collection infrastructure. Determine which datapoints and research design models will be most valuable to prospective outcomes research groups at pharma and others
- Plan development of datasets with the intent of licensing to outcomes research groups
- Work with C-Suite and other VPs to develop data analysis services from scratch alongside Business Development

- Supporting business development by contributing to research proposals and presentation content, participating in customer meetings and targeting new opportunities with current customers for repeat business. Requirements:

- MD, PharmD, PhD, or other advanced degree in Health Economics, Health Services Research, Outcomes Research, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health or other comparable areas
- 5 years of HEOR experience
- Experience with designing HEOR studies and writing research protocols
- Ability to generate statistical analysis plans (SAPs) and interpret SAS (or other statistical software) output
- Experience in the design, development and/or interpretation of health economic models
- Strong strategic thinking skills in the areas of value, affordability, evidence generation, access and reimbursement
- Thorough understanding of modeling, observational research, statistical programming
- Leadership experience
- High motivation, good work ethic, maturity and personal initiative;
- Aptitude for, and enjoyment of, leading and managing effective teams;
- Strong oral and written communication skills that enable personal impact with senior-level decision makers;
- Strong attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset;
