he Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk works closely with management to ensure efficient operation of the Shipping and Receiving Department. Follows-up and maintains management aware of all activities and discrepancies. Candidate will preferably have experience packing a variety of products of various sizes & weights. Telephone answering and anything else required to support the flow and smooth running of the warehouse. This position requires a close attention to detail, time management, the ability of physical labor, and strong organizational skills. Candidate will need to be flexible for any job assigned within the scope of cross training in all departments.

-Conducts physical inventories such as checking contents of shipped product against purchase orders for the purpose of verifying stock, monitoring and controlling inventory (physical count)

Maintains stock of supplies needed. Maintains product identification, location and location code accuracy. Research inventory discrepancies and work to resolve inventory issues in a timely manner.

Obtains a pick-list to compile items required for specific projects and assembling custom orders. Coordinates pick up/delivery of items for the purpose of ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Ensures the packaging, transporting, distributing, and the maintenance of the product.

Responds to inquiries regarding inventory of goods, delivery receipts, etc., for the purpose of providing requested information and/or referring to appropriate resources.

Physically capable of opening crates and other large containers using hand tools to unpack items received.

Meticulously inspect shipments for damage and defects. In the event that there are damages or defects in the shipped goods, Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk shall notify carrier, notify supervisor/manager, and assist in reaching an appropriate solution for such damages. Depending on severity of damages, refusal of cargo may be required.

Verifies accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, or measuring items and other essential details stated on the invoice or packing slip and purchase orders.

Keeps and prepares proof of delivery documents.

Keeps Warehouse clean & organized.

Adheres to all safety procedures regarding the transportation and storage of goods.
