10 TOP VOICES OF IOT "INTERNET OF THINGS" FOR MARCH 2018 BY JAN BARBOSA

10 TOP VOICES OF IOT "INTERNET OF THINGS" FOR MARCH 2018 BY JAN BARBOSA

As the world of technology progresses into every aspect of our lives, the data we produce expands with it. From wearable devices that handle and record each step we take, to smart fridges that know when we need to get more milk... Even the internet clicks we take to view the objects of our affections, all are recorded somewhere and fed into enormous virtual minds that run on algorithms to know our likes and dislikes ever more precisely.

Wikipedia defines IOT ( Internet Of Things ) as: "the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and connectivity which enables these objects to connect and exchange data. Each thing is uniquely identifiable through its embedded computing system but is able to inter-operate within the existing Internet infrastructure."

In this article, we celebrate those minds that push the science of IOT into the collective minds of the consumers.

Because it's not enough to create and devise new ways for IOT to ease our way of life but to make the general public, the end users of the technology, understand the inner workings and possibilities of the definition of IOT itself.

During the month of March 2018 ten IOT influencers dominated cyberspace and to them, I extend my sincere congratulations.

All data presented was gathered using the KLOUT Score Platform.

Congratulations to all the great minds sharing their knowledge of IOT.

Yes @CityVP 🐝 Manjit , along the way of researching marketing and social media I became entangled in the promises of technologies like A. I, VR, IOT and Augmented Reality and how they can further other fields like communications, medicine, travel & education... Now I'm trying to get up to date and learning from the best in the field seems to be a promising way to start the journey... Thanks for your wise and always very educated comments.

Since I have associated you with marketing, branding and social media, I posted your last list at https://www.bebee.com/producer/@jan-barbosa/10-top-voices-of-big-data-for-march-2018-by-jan-barbosa but this list (now coupled with the big data one) has awoken me to your interest in IoT and the technology sector. In so doing I reviewed my Indigo Hive and there indeed was a gaping hole I had not considered in all my various learning pathways.

That hole is CODE. That has been rectified and now i.e. the CEO of my Indigo Hive will now be CODE - EXECUTION - ORGANIZATION that tightens up my existing classifications but the prior classifications were not informed by "CODE" as a significant top line for my attention for learning purpose :

ORGANIZATIONAL METHOD
TECHNOLOGY & PROCESS
PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE
SYSTEMS & STANDARDS

This will allow me to focus on AI, Big Data, IoT etc which I did originally focus on, but all of this focus has largely fallen away as I spent far less time in the Indigo area of my learning.

Your buzz was a timely reminder of the relevance of these areas and now to explore your writings in your other area of interest which does fit the parameters of my Indigo Hive learning pathway. While there is some cross-over between the two lists, the credibility you have established with your contributions enables me to recognize these lists as value add and I look forward to focusing on more of your writings in the Indigo area, and not just in my Orange hive.
