"Tales from Paradise" (The Poem)

"Tales from Paradise" (The Poem)

Oh what a life,

077a04dd.jpg

to live free of strife

Running the gamut,

around the planet

Great wonders I've seen,

I may need a vaccine

You think this sounds nice?

I call it Paradise!

Tall mountains I've climbed

Strange languages pantomimed

Deep oceans explored

Drank rum from a gourd

New foods to partake

My senses awake

Was there any sacrifice?

No! This is Paradise!

ad1a9ecc.jpg

I've had beer for breakfast, sailing for lunch

All of the highlights, even Conch for Brunch

Truffles, and Quail, a sweetbread or two

Fine wines, liqueurs, and wild game too

d9681afd.jpg

So many delights, so much to experience

Everything is "input", there's no interference

But it's the people I meet that make it worthwhile

Regardless of anything else I compile

0c839cee.jpg

I'm sure that you've heard "A Place is just a Place"

It's absolutely NOTHING without a smiling face

      It's been said twice

      But this is Paradise!

      After all of these years

      I've ended up here

      beBee's the place

      Where I now interface

   In this virtual reality

   Where I buzz avidly

   The people are so nice

   That's what makes it Paradise

7e3c6cdd.jpg

The hives are all busy, bees are buzzing

I'm spreading the word, better call my cousin

Such a wide range of people all in one place

Good thing it's virtual or we'd have no space

From business, writers, doctors, professionals, gurus

Teachers, media, IT, HR, directors, trades, and a Chef too!

So much talent, expertise, and advice

   It absolutely is a Paradise!

b4ddd416.jpg

Javier 🐝 beBee, he's the top dog

He's so busy, I can imagine his backlog

Lisa 🐝 Gallagher with your whimsical ways

It was you that convinced me I was here to stay

02a0afdc.jpg

Look! Up in the sky: it's a bird; a plane; a rose (?)

No, it's the prognosticator of poetry, the Prince of Prose

Wearing his mask and cape he leaps over small children and stops speeding snails

Just to deliver his verse via emails

Lighting up everyone's life at any opportunity with his marble sharp wit

And looks to match, with a kind word for everyone's benefit

   Everyone's Buddy

   Mr. Lisa 🐝 Gallagher

   I have to admit

   With no hint of jest

That it was your Buzz Ken

   That inspired this gem

https://www.bebee.com/producer/@ken-boddie/more-o-me-rhymes-and-other-word-crimes-vol-ii-66872#c57

Do you remember my comment? It's the seed for this post

I said I would get you, but you're still the "Host with the Most"

d88c99cf.jpg

Wayne Yoshida is our BBQ King

I'm sure his food is quite addicting

I would like to think that Ken Boddie's a friend

A true gourmet, right to the end

I hope to cook for you, either this life or the next

You've had the rest, but I want to show you the best

c3361a82.jpg

Gert Scholtz writes great stuff, like "A Long Jump in Time"

But at our age I think a "Short jump" is fine

Talked about music with Wayne Yoshida

My mind here on beBee is getting quite stretched

And then there's my new friend Praveen Raj Gullepalli

(in the immortal words of Alice Cooper, from "School's out")

"We can't even think of a word that rhymes!"

Dean Owen is our resident "Brain Scientist"

If cerebral's the topic, he'll answer in earnest

(and he'll chime in intelligently on other topics as well :-) )

5be836ce.jpg

Let's not forget our "Rocket Surgeons" are here

George Touryliov and Gert Scholtz; they discuss the exosphere

https://www.bebee.com/group/universe-space-beyond

A special mention for Savvy Raj, and your thoughtful prose

If I were blind, I'd still see your inner beauty's glow

Gerald Hecht, we're all cheering you on

  You're 100 day countdown is a phenomenon

https://www.bebee.com/producer/@sara-jacobovici/one-hundred-day-countdown )

Hey Harvey Lloyd, You always deliver

I hope to join you one day for a beer on your river

I always enjoy the dialogue with Praveen Raj Gullepalli

Your comments and feedback are worth absolute millions

Another great mind is Deb 🐝 Helfrich

Who's comments and points make any topic rich

105e57d7.jpg

Your profile says you're a "Strategist",

   I think that's Great!

Ian Weinberg's not a guy to underestimate

There's Aaron 🐝 Skogen, and although he's American

He can talk about chainsaws like he's almost Canadian

   (Speaking of which)

579de0d4.jpg

A quick shout out to a few of my fellow Canucks

The first would be Mr. George Touryliov

He always has a beer at the drop of a puck

Don 🐝 Kerr is somewhere out there canoeing

For the sake of his neighbors I hope he's not "mooning"

There once was a show called "The A Team"

It just started out as a pipe-dream

It originally planned to be shot in Canada

    "What's that?" you may say

It would have been called "Team Eh"

02bfadd0.jpg

There's so many writers, I'm just amazed

Here's your own section, don't be dazed

It's amazing that Savvy Raj gets anything done

Because I know that Bali is just way too much fun

John White, MBA is a very busy guy

An example he sets always reaching for the sky

Sara Jacobovici is here and when not writing his notes

He can be found on the water driving his boat

Paul "Pablo" Croubalian's a writer but he's also a cook,

Check out his hive, what's next? A Cookbook?

https://www.bebee.com/group/cooking-for-men-and-other-culinary-challenged-people

c7f173e1.jpg

To all you Ambassadors out there, your names are a challenge

Like trying to fish for the elusive muskellunge

But I had a brainstorm, a simple way out

You're own VIP section, so I wasn't putout

    Franci's abuzz, active as ever,

Always great feedback, whatever the weather

efd2f382.jpg

    Ali Anani is always around

   His thoughtful comments always astound

Liesbeth Leysen who's writing is art

That's because she's such a romantic at heart

Joyce Bowen's prolific at writing the Buzz

Full of life, love, emotions and "fuzz"

Stephen Metral is my social media Guru

All the tech info, hope he doesn't lead me askew

4a1c624c.jpg

   To those that I've missed

It's by no means a "Dis"

I'll get you on the next edition

    Please don't have a conniption

To all my friends in beBee world

    It's been a slice, don't get unfurled

Just remember the words I say, no matter your device

Tomorrow is a brand new day, and it will be Paradise

9d804a67.jpg

Just when I thought I had seen it all

New life, new hope, I'm having a Ball!

Look on my shoulders, what do you see?

Of course I call him "Mini-me"

They grow so fast

Things just don't last

I have the same hairline as my grandson Bryce

(Do you know what the next line is going to be?)

  Yes, that's Paradise!

40904cf5.jpg
I'm winding down, I'm rhymed right out
I'm afraid I might have a participle blowout
I Thank You all for your patience and time
For humoring me, I'm past my prime
But life is good, I can't complain
Every cloud has a silver lining, even if it's rain
So remember this, repeat it thrice
   Life is an absolute Paradise

As I say on my profile page, to the letter
"I'm lovin' life cause it just keeps getting better"
Who's to say how or why we're here
If nothing else at least enjoy the beer
All of our times come soon enough
There really is no point to bluff

So as you continue on your busy day
I hope there's one thought that you take away
When all is said and done
   You are the ONLY one
That allows you to be redefined

"Paradise is a State of Mind"

Great to finally read Part 1 and I have noted that this was written nearly a year ago - and the reason I am reading Part 1 is because I arrived at Part 2, had no notion that there was a Part 1 - but the good stuff is timeless and now I go back to the future - where in this very moment of time I am at Part 2 :-)

HaHa! Thanks for that Harvey Lloyd, great poem, I do appreciate it! I have to laugh as your comment immediately reminded me of a quote by the late Kurt Cobain of "Nirvana" regarding Weird Al Yankovich. When Weird Al did a cover of Nirvana's song, "Smells like teen spirit", Kurt proudly said, "Well now I know that we made it Big, Weird Al did one of our songs!", (Nirvana also sold an additional million albums after Weird Al did that cover). As much as I appreciate your sentiment and the big smile you put on my face Harvey I really think that Ken Boddie is more suited to being the "Weird Al" of beBee World. :-)

Thank you so much for your kind words @ Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee I must say that it is being here on beBee that inspires me and motivates me to write, seriously without the interactions with the amazing people here, such as yourself, I really would have nothing to write about nor would I feel compelled to do so. Have a great day Buddy! :-)

You know you have arrived when Randall Burns has mentioned you in a poem. . Thanks for the mention and the reminder that paradise is a state of mind. As for the beer on the river, the pleasure would be mine And this is my best at creating a rhyme. So i will quit here to save some time.

Dear Randall Burns- you are truly a gifted man. The photos, the images, the musical compliments and all the buzz are astonishing. I am flattered to be mentioned in your buzz. You do set a new style of saying thank you and I appreciate what you are doing. Who can match your music? I certainly can 't, but at least I try to express my gratitude to you.

A unique approach to complimenting bee authors and beBee. Randall Burns has a burning desire to acknowledge others in a very special and musical manner. If we all knew how to compliment others the way Randall did. Enjoy the read

With the exception that the guys didn't look like you, after reading your buzzes and talking to them I had a feeling many of you are full of it. They asked me if I was a foodie since I had so many questions and seemed to understand a bit. He did call himself the Executive Chef, I couldn't remember and I knew Head Chef didn't sound right. I will check out your page. I need to update mine eventually. Not a lot has changed though. Thanks!

Nice Lisa \ud83d\udc1d Gallagher Yep sounds like a couple of Chefs to me, yes we are "full of it", "Head Chef" is a used term, along with "Executive Chef", "Chef de Cuisine", (or just "Chef"), other positions, different ranks, in the kitchen, Commis, Demi Chef, Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, Station Chef, etc. I have just updated my profile page, (finally), with my work experience, check it out when you have some time, you'll see some of the different positions.

That's awesome Paul! Let me know when it's available. I like the idea of meal plans too! PS: Randall Burns, I was taking pics tonight from the 27th floor at the Hyatt Regency and I kept hearing 2 guys next me mentioning "look at the shots 'she's getting.' Then....... one guy said, hey can you get a pic of both of us and label it "Two Chefs from Denver?" They were serious, haha. I did take 3 shots. I thought of you because they seemed so carefree and well.. full of it ;-) The head Chef.. not sure if that's the term has also been well traveled like you, he even worked over in Italy.

Life is an absolute Paradise And so is your wonderful Idyllic poem. A good poem is Paradise🤗🤗🤗 You had me smiling from the beginning to the end. And OMG the little fellow supercute cuddly, I just want to hug him and feel paradise. Kids are such a source of joy and bring paradise to the earth. Just looking at them is Paradise. Paradise exists in moments of joy, in worthwhile conections, at home with family and on beBee. A person who brings smiles on any face deserves a million praises and blessings from above. Stay awesome always Randall. This poetry brings smiles, laughters, joys and is about awesome beBees. Para-para-paradise, Para-para-paradise, Para-para-paradise🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

Not quite sure what you're referring to there buddy... :-) LMAO!!!
HAaaaaaa, was that the beBee's awards and I missed the red carpet? Unless you wanted to make a job on a southern sea driven wind in the south of France. my name is not Mistral...but Metral. An Old French name meaning Master of the Wood in local middle ages' dialect. But I like the mention and I am grateful for it...Looking forward to your next post...what happened to our foodie recipe challenge Randall Burns ?
